‘CM keen to resolve problems of Anganwadi staff’

 Rajamahendravaram: Telugu Nadu Trade Union Council (TNTUC) district president Nakka Chitti Babu has said Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is taking steps for the welfare of staff working in Anganwadi centres.

Participating in a programme held at Anganwadi centre here on Friday, he said Naidu had enhanced the salaries of teachers to Rs 10,000 from the existing Rs 7,200. He also increased the salaries from Rs 4,000 to Rs 7,200 earlier.

The salaries of aayas were also increased to Rs 6,000 from Rs 4,000. The government was putting its efforts to strengthen Anganwadi centres by providing necessary facilities. 

Along with providing basic amenities, Naidu also taking care about the welfare of staff working in Anganwadis, he added.
