MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu launches works under Viyar channel
Mogalturu: Narasapur MLA Bandaru Madhava Naidu has said Rs 550 crore worth works were taken up in the constituency.
He laid foundation stone for phase III works of Viyar channel at Modi village on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated that TDP government was committed to the welfare of the farming community.
Development of the constituency was possible only with the cooperation of the people. He thanked people of his constituency for supporting him for extending his services.
He said that the government had taken up works keeping in mind the long-term needs of the people. As part of this endeavour, the government had taken up works relating to the channel.
He reminded that he had raised the issue of the channel in the Assembly. Subsequently, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had noticed the significance of the channel and sanctioned Rs 4.58 crore for the same.
The MLA explained that in the third package, works worth Rs 58 lakh were being launched.
The channel would meet the irrigation needs of eight villages including Muthyalapalli, Modi, KC Palem and Perupalem. While 2,245 acres of land would get water, drinking water would be supplied to eight villages.
Delta Project Committee chairman P Ramaraju, Irrigation DE Venkata Narayana, Sarpanches M Bannu, K Mutyala Rao and others were present.
