Go cycling on Beach Road

Visakhapatnam: As a part of the Smart City programme, the GVMC arranged 100 bicycles to promote cycling on the Beach Road on Friday.

Commissioner of GVMC M Hari Narayanan launched the cycling programme. Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner called upon the parents to encourage their children to promote cycling to ensure good health.

The GVMC had placed 25 bicycles at four locations, including YMCA, Pandurangapuram and Kalimatha temple. The youth and children can take the bicycle for pedalling on the beach and can handover it any one of the four locations and the service is free of cost, Hari Narayanan said.

People, who wish to take the bicycle, have to download hexi mobile app. The Smart City programme staff would also help the cyclists on the four locations, he added.
