285 cr allotted for education infra in Nellore dist: Somireddy

Nellore: Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said the state government had allocated Rs. 4,800 crore for providing basic infrastructure in education sector and the district is also fetched Rs. 285 crore in that. Addressing at a programme organised by the employees of SSA (Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan) at NGO Home on Sunday, he said that virtual classrooms would be set up besides taking up other development works.  

The Minister said the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has been striving to achieve 100 pc literacy and growth in the education sector. As part of his efforts, he allocated huge budget for the education sector and also focusing on various issues for the development. He assured that he would take the problems being faced by the SSA employees to the notice of the CM for resolving them.

Somireddy explained that they were providing similar  positions to the employees who are having similar qualification, ESI, accidental insurance, salary on every first day of the month, ex-gratia to the bereaved family members in case of death, and other perks to them. He assured their long pending issues would be taken to the notice of the Government for any possible solution. 

Project Officer of the SSA Viswanath, and other union leaders were present. Later, the Minister participated in Bhoomipuja ceremony of the Shadi Manzil at Kotamitta on Sunday. He said the new facility would be available within six months which would be a model in the district with AC and other infrastructure. He said the Chief Minister had announced Rs. 20 crore for development works in the Bara Shahid Dargah premises.

The ruling party is committed for welfare of the Minorities and Chief Minister had allocated Rs. 1,100 crore for their welfare in the budget. Even though the Centre had ignored allocating adequate funds to the state after bifurcation, the state government has been managing to develop the state in all respects, he added.
