Rotary Club bags 6 awards

Visakhapatnam: Rotary Club, Visakha Port City has bagged number of awards at the District Awards Night held in Vijayawada on Sunday night. The awards include Best Club, Best Public Image, Paul Harris Fellow Support, Global Grants Support, Happy Schools and Rotary Conference Registration. 

Under the leadership of president P Bhogeswara Rao, the club had successfully conducted many activities of high quality. Rotary Club in association with Rotary International donated Rs 1.2 crore for Homi Baba Cancer Hospital for medical equipment, donated 25,000 notebooks to students, constructed classrooms at a cost of Rs 5.5 lakh at Zilla Parishad High School, Yendada, conducted many blood donation camps and dental camps.

President and secretaries of the Club P Bhogeswara Rao and Dr L Chandrashekhar received six awards in various categories from Past District Governor Dr K Pattabiramayaa, Present Governor G V Rama Rao and Governor Elect G Viswanath.
