Chandrababu Naidu asks VRAs to hone their skills

Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu appealed to Village Revenue Assistants (VRAs) to hone their skills and enhance their educational qualifications as they play key role in State administration. 

He said that the State government increased their salary from Rs 6000 to Rs 10,500 a month and is ready to settle some of their other demands. He suggested to the VRAs to work with more commitment and win laurels for the government.

The VRAs association organised a function to felicitate the Chief Minister at Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium here on Monday night as a thankful gesture for increasing the pay.

Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu Naidu said the VRAs should work hard to achieve 95 per cent satisfaction level among people on administration, which he claimed as a real felicitation to him.

The Chief Minister said that the State government introduced technology in revenue department to maintain transparency in administration. He said Bhudaar would be launched soon. It will help to streamline the land records and help people in a big way. 

Commenting on Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanams ornaments issue, the Chief Minister said judicial inquiry would be conducted every 2 years to maintain transparency.

Presiding over the programme, Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue Minister KE Krishna Murthy said the State government is ready to protect the interests of VRAs. He said the state government increased salaries of VRAs despite the state facing an extra burden of Rs 147 cr every year.

APNGOs Association president Ashok Babu, Revenue Employees Association president Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, VRAs Association president K Gopala Rao, Ministers Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao, Kollu Ravindra and others participated in the felicitation event.
