Anantapur: District Collector Veera Pandian and revenue staff received as many as 326 grievances and petitions from the people, who have come from various parts of the district on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector exhorted the employees and officials to sympathetically respond to all complaints and petitions from people and try to redress all their grievances.

He also appealed to the people not to lose their cool while representing their problems and asked them to amicably interact with the officials. He made this appeal in the context of revenue employees boycotting Monday’s 'Mee Kosam' programme in protest against the unruly behaviour of a section of general public during a programme in Atmakur mandal.

The Collector received representations from the public relating to housing, pensions and poor amenities at Vijayanagar Colony. He said that he would visit the colony and do the needful. He also assured that he would recommend to CM Relief Fund for help to Tarun Naik for whom dialysis is needed for his two damaged kidneys. Naik asked for financial assistance of Rs 3 lakhs from the government.
