Rashtriya Bala Swasta vehicles launched by Collector Kartikeya Mishra
Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra asked the medical fraternity to conduct tests to children up to 18 years of age for identification of health problems and to provide better medical aid.
Participating in the inauguration of vehicles under Rashtriya Bala Swasta programme at Collectorate on Monday, the Collector said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the Bala Swasta, the health checkup programme at Visakhapatnam on 21 of this month and as part of this, the launching of vehicles was taken up in East Godavari on Monday.
Kartikeya Mishra directed the medical staff to conduct medical examinations at Anganwadi centers, primary and elementary schools, high schools and junior colleges to cover children below 18 years and to provide the needed medical aid.
Speaking on the occasion, DMHO Dr Ramesh Kishore said that a total 45 vehicles have been kept ready for this purpose. These vehicles would bring the children for health checkups to nearby medical centre. If necessary, the children would be provided required medical care, he added.
