112 cell phones worth Rs 10 lakh seized

Vijayawada: The city police arrested three inter-state criminals and recovered 112 cell phones worth Rs 10 lakh from them. The accused were identified as Kunuru Kabir Das of Bogaram in Yadadri district, Telangana, Kunuru Sankar of Bhuvanagiri district in Telangana and Muppula Charan Kumar of Mangalagiri in Guntur district. Deputy Commissioner of Police Shireen Begum produced the three accused before the media at Suryarao Pet Police Station here on Tuesday. 

These accused stole 112 cell phones and have been trying to sell them in Vijayawada. The cell phones include various branded varieties of reputed companies like Samsung, Oppo, Vivo, Motorola, Techno, LG, Acer, MI, Gioni etc. 

The DCP said the accused tried to sell these phones at a lower price and were caught by the police near railway station. She said the accused would be produced in the court.
