Municipal workers felicitated for securing 6th Swachh rank
Tirupati: District Collector PS Pradyumna and Municipal Corporation of Tirupati (MCT) Commissioner Vijaya Rama Raju have felicitated more than 100 sanitation workers at Mahathi Auditorium here on Tuesday, for their efforts in achieving sixth place in the cleanliness in the national-level Swachh Survekshan-2018 competition.
Later, local MLA Suguna has presented a memento and appreciation certificates to the municipal workers. Addressing the civic staff, the Collector said the MCT won the national-level recognition with the hard work and determination of the sanitary workers.
He gave a call to the municipal workers and officials to achieve better rank in the next Swachh Survekshan competition in 2019. Civic body chief has thanked the municipal workers and officials in securing sixth place in the national-level contest.
He announced the MCT would give new clothes to all the sanitary workers as recognition of their hard work. Later, dinner was arranged to the sanitary workers and municipal officials. SPMVV V-C Prof Durga Bhavani, TUDA Chairman G Narasimha Yadav, MCT Deputy Commissioner MVD Phaniram and other officials were present.
