Parents of deceased home guard get financial help

Vijayawada: Commissioner of Police Gautam Sawang here on Tuesday handed over a cheque for Rs 3,89,200 to the parents of a deceased home guard Ch Sambasiva Rao. The home guard who died  on January 13 due to illness.

The home guards working in the city donated their one day salary to the kin of the home guards in case of death. 

The Home Guards Welfare Association has been trying to help the families of the home guards in case of sudden death. 

As part of the financial assistance, the Commissioner Sawang handed over the cheque at his chamber on Tuesday. The parents thanked the Commissioner.
