Rajamahendravaram: Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA) chairman Ganni Krishna has said that TDP will fight against Central government until it sanctions steel plant in Kadapa, which was mentioned in Andhra Pradesh State Bifurcation Act-2014.

Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh and MLC B Tech Ravi were on an indefinite fast for a week and the Central government was not responding.

Participating in one-day hunger strike at Fort Gate here on Wednesday, in support of agitating TDP leaders, he said Telugu people had a right to demand for steel plant and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should give answer to the people.

Telugu people cannot be a mere spectators, if the Central government fails to fulfill the demand.

Five decades ago, Telugu people agitated for steel plant at Visakhapatnam and finally the then Congress government sanctioned it.

YSRCP president and opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy was not uttering any word about steel plant when agitation was going on in his home town.

Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan and YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy had no guts to oppose Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he averred.

The BJP government had cheated the people of the state for four years and now trying to blame Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu for each and every thing to get political mileage.

MLC Adireddy Appa Rao said BJP leaders earlier assured to accord Special Category Status to the state for a decade and now set it aside and now asking the state government to adjust with special package.

Telugu people know well how to achieve their demands. He advised BJP leaders to put an end to baseless allegations against Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

TDP leaders YVG Raidu, CS Rao, corporators and others were present.
