AP Aanganwadi workers demand hike in salaries
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Aanganwadi Workers and Helpers Association president Ravulapalli Ravindra demanded the government to increase the salaries of Aanganwadi workers as per the assurance given by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Addressing at association meeting here on Friday, he said that the government should pay Rs 8,000 to all the attendants. He said that the government should release funds in this regard immediately.
Union State President Manju Latha and general secretary J Lalitha said that the government recently distributed the poor quality uniform. They said the marks of ICDS were also hurting the respect of workers.
They asked the government to supply quality material and pay rentals to the buildings of Aanganwadi centers immediately. Several leaders of association were also present at the meeting.
