Chandrababu Naidu alleges plot against TDP
Amaravati: TDP president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that some leaders from parties with ulterior motives were trying to tarnish the image of party and its MPs by spreading tampered videos of TDP MPs informal interactions that took place at AP Bhavan in New Delhi.
During a teleconference on ongoing Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh’s indefinite hunger strike demanding establishment of steel plant in Kadapa, on Friday, Naidu said Ramesh had been staging the hunger protest without caring about his health condition.
Though pressure was mounting on the Central government on the one hand, he said the Deeksha has received massive public support from all sections of people.
After seeing the tremendous public support to TDP MPs’ agitations and protests, some of the Opposition leaders were spreading doctored video footage to damage the party image, Naidu said.
He appealed to public not to believe such false videos and added he would reveal and establish the conspiracy behind the tampering of MP Murali Mohan’s talk with his colleagues. Naidu warned that he would initiate serious action against those who involved in tampering of video footages.
Naidu said the people have high hopes on TDP leaders protests and expecting that the Centre would respond on it. The Chief Minister hoped that the Union government would ,come down and establish steel plant in Kadapa. MP M Murali Mohan informed that he could do one-week hunger strike even at the age of 75 during the informal discussion with MPs at AP Bhavan in New Delhi. However, it was cut and tampered, he explained.
Anakapalli MP Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao, popularly known as Avanthi Srinivas said that some leaders propagated wrong video footage on social media. “They tampered the video to suit their needs,” he added. Naidu observed the conspiracy politics of Opposition may increase in the future and suggested to party leaders be cautious.
“Such wrong videos are being circulated to demoralise the leaders who are agitating for the cause against the Centre,” Naidu said. The TDP chief said this was not the first time of tampering videos and explained that in the recent past MP JC Diwakar Reddy’s voice was tampered and now Murali Mohan’s voice was tampered. “We should ensure that there should not be any anti-social elements in the name of media,” Naidu said.
