Lord Venkanna rides on Hanumantha Vahanam
Tirupati: On the sixth day of ongoing Brahmotsavams at TTDs Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Appalayagunta near Tirupati, the processional deity of Lord Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy is taken out in procession around four mada streets atop Hanumantha Vahanam on Thursday morning.
As done ardent devotee who carried Sri Rama on his shoulders, Hanuman’s association with Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Rama is nothing unusual. It is said that Lord Sri Rama had taught the secrets of Atma Tatva to his most loyal disciple, Hanuman.
The Sita Ramanjaneya Samvadam is the basic theme of a Telugu poetry of yester years. Temple Special Grade Deputy EO Munirathnam Reddy, Assistant EO Subrahmanyam, Superintendent Gopala krishna Reddy and other officials and devotees took part in the fete.
