Rastriya Ispat Nigam Limited bags CSR award

Visakhapatnam: Rastriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL)- Visakhapatnam Steel Plant bagged the prestigious award for ‘Excellence in Contribution to Society through CSR’ in PSU category instituted by Vizagapatam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). Collector Pravin Kumar presented the award to CMD of RINL Prabir Raychaudhury at a function here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Pravin Kumar appreciated the efforts of Vizag Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their initiative and particularly recognising positive contribution made by the business organisations in enhancing the region’s economy. 

He also lauded RINL-VSP for contributing to society and also helping the needy through their CSR activities. CMD of RINL Prabir Raychaudhury expressed his joy on RINL being conferred with the prestigious award and congratulated all the award winners for their contribution to Visakhapatnam’s growth. 

The VCCI instituted excellence awards to recognise the people and companies that demonstrated a unique vision and achievement in support of Visakhapatnam region’s economy and business community. 

The VCCI board has instituted various categories of awards and established criteria for measuring and defining excellence. The categories are, women empowerment, hospitality tourism, industry, CSR, logistics, information and technology, sea food and pharma.
