The Indus Entrepreneurs first edition on July 13
Visakhapatnam: TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Amaravati announces the first edition of TiE Impact conference themed on ‘Developing entrepreneurship and enterprise in educational institutions’ to be held in Visakhapatnam on July 13.
The TiE Impact will bring together educational institutions, incubation centres, accelerators, other ecosystem enablers and the government officials. All the stakeholders can come together to discuss the experiences and success stories and plan for the ensuing year.
The objective of the conference is to bring guests from successful incubators and e-Cells in educational institutions to come to Andhra Pradesh and share their experiences and guide the institutions in the state to establish and scale up e-Cells, Incubation Centres and ways to nurture student entrepreneurs and start-ups on campus.
AP Innovation Society, the designated department for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in the state, is partnering with TiE Amaravati with all the educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh are invited to participate, to register on the websitehttps://hub.tie.org/e/tie-impact-2018 or one can contact the Secretariat.
On the occasion, Dr V Valli Kumari, CEO, Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society, said that colleges must include entrepreneurship development programmes in their curriculum, encouraging the students to focus on job creation after their graduation.
Sateesh Andra, President TiE Amaravati said that the educational institutions play a crucial role in developing the entrepreneurial ecosystem. As per Kauffman Fellows review, the success of Silicon Valley was possible because of the association with Stanford University.
Hence, through TiE Impact, they are working towards strengthening the ecosystem in the educational institutions by bringing in expertise from all over the country.
Anudeep Chappa, Associate Director, TiE, said that all the prospective speakers would be from eminent educational institutions, including IIM Ahmadabad, IIT Madras / Bombay, IIM Bangaluru and ISB. Nara Lokesh, Minister for Information Technology, would be one of the keynote speakers, he added.
