It was learnt that Justice Balakrishnan was informed that the meeting was organised to focus on protecting the SC, ST Act and to discuss on the recent Supreme Court judgement regarding the implementation of the Act. But, some of the invitees like Justice Balakrishnan and others have felt that the meeting was given a political colour than the name of SC/ST associations, they left the meeting.

After the exit of them, the meeting went on as scheduled with former MP and leader of VCK Party Tirumavalavan of Tamil Nadu, CPM secretary P Madhu, CPI leader K Ramakrishna, Gali Vinod Kumar, Kamalamma, Balasingam, Prof G Savaraiah and others participated and addressed the gathering.

He demanded the government to make a bill in the coming session of Parliament to nullify the Supreme Court judgement.

CPI secretary K Ramakrishna observed that during the last 70 years no Dalit has progressed in the country. Most of the wealth was increasingly going into the hands of some sections and during the regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi this gap has been widening further. The meeting was organised by SC, ST Act Protection Committee president PTM Siva Prasad and convenor NJ Vidya Sagar and was attended by many leaders, academicians and organisations.
