CPI holds walkathon in Kakinada for Kadapa steel plant

Kakinada: As part of the call given by its State unit, the CPI East Godavari organised a walkathon here on Friday. 

The party activists and leaders raised slogans against the NDA for its stubborn attitude on the issue of Kadapa steel plant.

Addressing the activists, the party district unit secretary, T Madhu said that the Kadapa steel plant would be a boon to Rayalaseema area besides providing large scale employment to locals. 

He demanded that the Centre immediately clear the project as the State government was willing to provide the necessary infrastructure.  

The walkathon continued through the main streets in the city.
