Cityzen wins VCCI Excellence Award

Visakhapatnam: Cityzen, the CSV arm of Fluentgrid Limited, won the VCCI Excellence Award-2018 for best Smart City initiation for its Smart Kirlampudi project. On behalf of Fluentgrid, Winston SK Adams, Vice-President, Corporate Affairs, and Ravikanth Reddy, Senior Manager, received the award from Collector Pravin Kumar and acting CMD of RINL P Ray Chaudhury.

Since its inception in 2014, Ananda Cityzen Trust (aka CitYzen) is actively involved in promoting citizen-centric movement empowered by advanced technologies to foster sustainable and resilient communities for a better society. 

The Cityzen adopted Kirlampudi layout in Visakhapatnam to transform it into a smart community with a slew of initiatives revolving around clean, green, healthy, safe and digital city concepts.

The beachfront community now boasts of a CCTV surveillance network mounted on smart street lights with LED lighting, emergency call boxes and public Wi-Fi connected to Police Control Room and regular workshops on plastic menace, home composting, rain water harvesting, energy efficiency, water conservation and yoga for health.

Vani Gannamani, head of Ananda Cityzen Trust and Director of Fluentgrid Limited, expressed her happiness in getting the award while mentioning the incredible work done by the Fluentgrid teams over the years by engaging with citizens, municipality and various other government departments.
