Kakinada:  East Godavari district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Yenimireddy Malakondayya strongly condemned the attack on the party State Unit President, Kanna Lakshminarayana by TDP ‘goons’.

Addressing the media here on Friday, Malakondayya said that the party leaders and cadre were not afraid of such attacks.

He warned of retaliation by the BJP activists to teach a lesson to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) which was afraid of BJP and its growth in the State.

The BJP leader asked the people to question Chandrababu Naidu over the implementation of various promises made in the last four years.

Turning his attention towards the remarks of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on AP State, BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana questioned the integrity of Chandrababu Naidu who crossed over to TDP from the Congress.

Naidu later dethroned NTR to become Chief Minister of the State. The BJP leader also alleged that the TDP leadership was conducting meetings to rescue the party leaders from severe graft charges they were facing.

Commenting on the conduct of TDP’s Dharma Porata Deeksha on Friday, Malakondayya alleged that the leadership had misused official machinery in entire district.

There was undeclared holiday for government offices in East Godavari and officials were engaged in mobilising people for the Deeksha. Party leaders Pedi Reddy Ravikiran and others were present.
