Left parties, Jana Sena Party take out rally in Guntur

Guntur: Leaders and activists of CPI, CPM, CPI (ML) New Democracy, Jana Sena Party protested here on Friday, demanding that the Centre to fulfill all the promises mentioned in the State bifurcation act and set up steel plant at Kadapa to generate employment opportunities in the State.

The leaders of the parties protested to mount pressure on the Centre to fulfill promises mentioned in the State bifurcation act. They took out a procession from Sankar Vilas Centre to Ambedkar statue in Guntur city.

Addressing the gathering, Former MLC and CPM leader KS Lakshmana Rao said that the Centre had cheated the newly-formed Andhra Pradesh and denied SCS. He reminded that separate railway zone has to be set up for AP.

The agitators criticized that the Centre did nothing to the State so far. 

CPI district secretary J Ajay Kumar warned that they would continue their agitation, if the Centre failed to fulfill the promises mentioned in the State bifurcation act.
