MP CM Ramesh’s health deteriorates as fast enters Day-10 for Kadapa steel plant
Kadapa: The indefinite hunger strike by Rajya Sabha member CM Ramesh with the demand for establishment of steel plant in Kadapa district entered tenth day on Friday and his health condition appears to be totally deteriorated.
He just thanked the visitors, who came to the venue to extend support to his stir, with folded hands. He remains calm without making any speeches during his agitation. Dr Raja Talluru and his wife, who were his relatives and settled in Canada as medicos, are staying at the fasting camp round the clock along with a team of doctors from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) observing the health condition of the R S member.
In order to avoid further damage to his health, doctors advised the visitors not to speak to Ramesh. Only his wife was allowed to speak to him during the stir. According to sources, doctors tried to shift Ramesh to RIMS Hospital in the wee hours on Friday.
However, he was reluctant to the move and said that he would continue the hunger strike till the Union government makes an official announcement over setting up steel plant in the district.
``We tried to convince Ramesh for several times, but he denied to our advice. The health condition is deteriorating for every hour. In abroad we deal such cases by placing the fast organiser in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). But it is unfortunate he is being provided treatment in open place for the last five days which may affect his health in future,” said Ramesh Talluri.
Meanwhile, retired IPS officer Lakshmi Narayana visited the fasting camp of CM Ramesh on Friday and lauded him for his determination in continuing the fast stir for the last 10 days. `` Ramesh was responsible in launching new chapter in the history of Kadapa district as he has drawn the attention of entire country for his long fast. I hope CM Remesh’s sacrifice will not get wasted as Central government may make a positive announcement,’’ he said.
Marketing Minister C Adinarayana Reddy who has been staying in the fasting camp for last 10 days said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is visiting the camp on for expressing solidarity to CM Ramesh on Saturday and may make some important announcement over the steel plant on the occasion.
