RGUKT of AP admission schedule released
Visakhapatnam: The state government announced the provisional selection list for all the four campuses of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) of Andhra Pradesh.
The admission into six-year integrated B.Tech programme in RGUKT is based on students’ merit in the SSC or equivalent examination. The RGUKT is running four campuses at Nuzvid, Idupulapaya, Ongole and Srikakulam with a total intake of 4,000 students (each campus 1,000 seats).
While releasing the admission schedule here on Friday, HRD minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the classes at all the campuses would begin on August 1. Fifteen per cent seats are reserved for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and 85 per cent seats are reserved for local areas which come under Andhra University and Sri Venkateswara University.
The Andhra University would cover eight districts (Nuzvid, Ongole and Srikakulam campuses) while the Sri Venkateswara University covers five districts (Idupulapaya campus) the minister added. Total seats allotted except special categories are 3,743 (for boys 1,358 while for girls 2,385)
As many as 50,850 applications were received from 27,988 government and 22,862 private schools.
Among them, 10,420 applications were received with CGPA 10/10 this year. Idupulapaya campus accommodates 1,000 students and the excess students will be distributed equally among the other three campuses of AU area, so that each campus will have 1,000 seats, Ganta Srinivasa Rao said.
