Revenue Inspector in Anti-Corruption Bureau net

Kurnool: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths caught a Revenue Inspector K Rama Rao red-handed while accepting a bribe from Boya Ranganna at Tahsildar office in Nandavaram mandal headquarters on Friday. ACB DSP T Jayarama Raju said Ranganna, a resident of Kanakaveedu village in Nandavaram mandal, had approached the Tahsildar office to get family member certificate after the demise of his father.

K Rama Rao had demanded Ranganna to pay him Rs 5,000 for issuing the certificate. The complainant had agreed to pay Rs 4,000 and informed the ACB. The DSP stated the amount was seized from the Revenue Inspector and was taken into custody. A case was registered, and he would be produced in the ACB court on Saturday, Jayarama Raju mentioned.
