Lokesh slams Opposition for comments against Chandrababu Naidu

Amaravati: IT and Panchayat Raj Minister Nara Lokesh said that even though the NITI Aayog had described the Andhra Pradesh as the best performer in key disciplines, the Opposition parties are taking potshots at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Taking on Opposition on twitter on Sunday, Lokesh said that 33 villages of Andhra Pradesh have been listed in top 88 cleanest villages in the country.

Similarly, three cities of AP found place in top 10 in India for cleanliness. He also said two districts in AP found place in top five aspirational districts and the state is no 1 in ease of doing business (EoDB), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), open defecation free (ODF) and education.

“NITI Aayog has called Andhra Pradesh the best perfumer in key disciplines. And yet, Opposition parties are taking potshots at Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. They must look at themselves in the mirror and answer their conscience if not the people of Andhra Pradesh,” Lokesh said. Responding over the NITI Aayog annual report, Lokesh said the report also said Andhra Pradesh stood top in education sector.
