Three held in molestation case

Vijayawada: Agiripalli police arrested three youths in connection with the rape of a B Tech student and sharing of rape video in social media. 

Though the incident took place last year, one of the three accused recently posted the same video again in the social media. Consequently, father of the girl lodged a complaint with Agiripalli police three days ago.

Police after collecting evidence, arrested the three accused and produced before the media on Saturday. Rape case was registered against them under Section 376, 34 and 37 of IPC and IT cases.  The ghastly incident shocked the people.  

Agiripalli circle inspector YV Naidu told The Hans India that the accused would be produced in the court. Two of them are working as software professionals and the third is jobless. 

Andhra Pradeh Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari visited the residence of the victim in Vijayawada and consoled her and family members. 

The girl was sent to the government hospital for medical examination. Rajakumari assured the family members that stringent action would be taken against the accused for committing the heinous crime.
