Governments flayed for privatising Education, Health
Eluru: Leaders of various people’s organisation demanded that the government strengthen government schools and provide quality education to the students.
Notebooks were distributed free of cost to the poor students at a programme organised jointly by Balala Sangham and Students Federation of India at Powerpet here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, SFI district vice-president Saratchandra presided over the meeting.
B Somaiah of CITU, G Sivakumar of DYFI, VVVN Prasad of medical sales representative association, K Satyanarayana of lawyers union, P Kishore of CPM and others spoke on the occasion.
They alleged that both the Central and State governments had been privatizing education and health sectors.
The government had failed to supply books to students in government schools.
As a result, NGOs and other had been providing books to the poor, they added.
