Jagan slams govt for failing to provide water
Kakinada: YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy strongly criticised the TDP for its inability to provide potable water to Konaseema people in East Godavari where the canal system of river Godavari provides water. Even the farmers are facing a lot of inconvenience to get sufficient water for crops, he said.
Addressing a large turnout of people at Mummidivaram in the district on the 202nd day of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra on Sunday, Jagan observed that apart from the irrigation works taken up by late YSR no new works were taken up in the last four years by TDP.
Turning his attention to sand availability for poor for construction activity, the YsRCP chief said that the sand mafia was making it difficult for locals to purchase send for hefty price .Where has the promise for free supply has gone he questioned.
The natural gas and petroleum products are available in Konaseema but the youth still remain unemployed, he lamented. He criticised the TD for its total failure in implementing at least one promise made during the elections. On the route from Annampalli to Mummdivarm, large number of people, particularly women, greeted him and several representations were also submitted to him.
