Chandrababu Naidu enquires about pilgrims stuck at Nepal border

Amaravati: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu enquired with the officials about the devotees who were stuck at Nepal boarder during their journey to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Officials briefed the CM that close to 100 pilgrims were stranded at Halsa on Nepal and China boarder.

The CM directed officials to speak to airlines officials and arrange to take the pilgrims to Similkot. He said that it could be easier to shift the pilgrims to Nepalganz if they were shifted from Halsa to Similkot. He also instructed to consult officials of Indian Embassy in Nepal for getting some help.

“You have to consider all possible alternatives and make all necessary arrangement on a war footing to bring the Telugu pilgrims to their native places,” he said.  Krishna district collector Lakshmi Kantham spoke to a pilgrim Murali Krishna of Vijayawada over the phone and enquired about the situation at Halsa.
