Complete temple repair works in scheduled time: TTD EO

Tirupati: TTD Executive Officer (EO) Anil Kumar Singhal has instructed the engineering officials to complete all the pending works pertaining to local temples within stipulated time.

The EO held a review meeting on the progress of various works with the officials at the meeting hall in TTD Administrative Building here on Monday. He said additional toilets need to be constructed in Mada streets and Narayanagiri Gardens for the pilgrims.

The display boards in compartments should give apt information on darshan to pilgrims. All the works related to annual Brahmotsavams should complete by August,” he directed. He instructed the officials concerned to give wide publicity on Aadhaar or voter cards for SSD tokens. The pilgrims should be allowed only in their allotted time slot,” he added. 

The EO directed the in-charge CVSO Siva Kumar Reddy to inspect the administrative building and set up fire extinguishers wherever necessary. He instructed the DFO to complete the works of greenery at Vontimitta temple in Kadapa district on a fast pace.

Directing the concerned officials, the EO said to improve mike system in Govinda Raja Swamy temple. JEO KS Srinivasa Raju, CE Chandrasekhar Reddy, SE Ramachandra Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sermista and other officials were also present.

Four mada streets inspected TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal along with Tirumala JEO KS Srinivasa Raju inspected the four mada streets in Tirumala on Monday evening. He also visited various areas including Annadanam Complex where he interacted with pilgrims eliciting their observations on facilities including darshan, accommodation, prasdam, food and sanitation. He instructed the electrical wing officials to enhance lighting in the Mada streets for the sake of the pilgrims.

Later, speaking to the media, the EO said Rs 26 crore has been sanctioned towards the implementation of master plan. The designers from Mumbai gave their opinions over the construction of additional toilets in four mada streets, he added.
