Construction workers stage dharna in Kakinada

Kakinada: Members of the Kakinada Area Building Construction Workers Union, affiliated to AITUC, staged a dharna at DCL office here on Monday seeking solution to their pending problems.
Working president of the organisation Nakka Kishore demanded that the government extend benefits to construction workers on par with the benefits given to construction workers in neighbouring States.
These includes Rs 3,000 per month as pension to those who completed 60 years of age and other benefits like PF, scholarships to wards of construction workers. Later, they submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner of Labour.
