Kanna alleges misuse of Centre’s funds
Nellore: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana alleged that the State government misused funds sanctioned by the Centre. Kanna visited Nellore district on Tuesday for the first time after assuming charge as the State chief of the saffron party. Party activists welcomed him by organising a massive rally from Simhapuri Hospital to Kasturidevi Gardens in the city.
Kanna Lakshminarayana addressed the party workers at Kasturidevi Gardens. He alleged that the State government failed to introduce any new welfare scheme for the poor and all the schemes were being implemented only by the Central government.
He said the Central government had provided Rs 3,500 crore for free power supply to the State. He also alleged that the Janmabhoomi Committees formed by the TDP government were harassing the beneficiaries under various schemes.
He also said that the Union government had sanctioned 11 projects to Nellore district but they projects remained non-starters due to negligence of the state government, he lamented.
