Eighth grade boy from US donates digital classroom to ZPHS in Addanki

Addanki: All eyes are on 14-year-old Nalajula Ganesh Sai at the Zilla Parishad High School in Dhenuvakonda in Addanki mandal on Wednesday. 

No, no, he is not a movie star, but a boy who spent his childhood in the same village and grandson of an old couple whose love for their native place continues ever. 

He received all of the attention just because he is donating a digital classroom for the Zilla Parishad High School following the initiative of Andhra Pradesh Janmabhoomi programme.

The AP Janmabhoomi, which is working with the nonresident Telugus under the guidance of Komati Jayaram, the special representative for the Government of Andhra Pradesh in the United States of America, has motivated more nonresident Telugus to contribute for the digital classrooms at nearly 3,000 schools in Andhra Pradesh. 

These digitized schools are connected with the real time governance, where every school updates the number of hours used and a statistical comparison is available of the CM’s CORE Dash Board. It is observed that the attendance in the digital schools increased considerably, with an average of 20 percent hike in the attendance and student strength. 

Inspired by the call given by Jayaram Komati, his father Nagaraju Nalajula and other NRIs who helped a number of schools in Prakasam district have digital classrooms, Ganesh Sai who is an eighth grade student at Minnesota in USA, raised funds of USD 1000 for a digital classroom at the ZPH School in his native village Dhenuvakonda, which is around 12,000 kilometers away.

On Wednesday, Ganesh Sai Nalajula inaugurated the digital classroom along with his grandparents. While the participants at the programme are clapping and pouring in appreciations for the young man, he said that he wanted to do something for his native place and raised the fund at various events including few by TANA.

The AP Janmabhoomi is working with an aim to provide digital classrooms in 5,000 schools, developing 1,000 Aanganwadi centers and 1,000 burial grounds. 

Those NRIs who wish to give back something to society and their motherland are partnering with the AP Janmabhoomi to provide something that they didn’t have in their childhood. 

Ganesh Sai who spent a few days as a child donating a digital classroom is really an inspiration to few people who wants to donate but still waiting for reasons even unknown to them.
