Fight corruption in society, youth told: Collector K Bhaskar
Eluru: District Collector K Bhaskar called upon the youth to take inspiration from great freedom-fighter ‘Manyam Veerudu’ Alluri Sitarama Raju and wage a war against corruption in society.
He paid tributes to Alluri by garlanding his statue to mark his 121st birth anniversary on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that just like Alluri who had fought vehemently against the British, the new generation of youth should fight those exploiting the poor in society.
There was no room for violence and every problem can be solved through discussion, he hoped.
In Bhimavaram, the CPM organised a meeting to remember Alluri.
Speaking on the occasion, the party district leader JN Gopalan said Alluri sacrificed his life for a cause.
To fulfil his dream, youth should fight against anti-people policies of governments.
He urged the students to oppose governments which had been acting as servants of the capitalists.
