GVMC clears piled up garbage at MVP Colony

Visakhapatnam: Responding to the news that was published in The Hans India with headline ‘Garbage piles up at MVP Colony, the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) authorities deputed sanitation wing to clear the garbage here on Wednesday.

Commissioner of GVMC M Hari Narayanan immediately directed the officials to deploy men and machinery to clean the roads and lift the garbage at MVP Colony sector-4.

Surprising the locals, sanitation staff and vehicles rushed to the spot and started cleaning the roads. The sanitation staff not only lifted the garbage, but also cleaned all the roads in and around sector-4.

The locals thanked The Hans India for publishing the news. B Suneetha, a resident of sector-4, said that though she called up the GVMC authorities many times for the past three weeks no one responded. After the news was published, the officials cleared the garbage immediately, Suneetha pointed out.
