Rich tributes paid to Alluri

Anantapur: District Collector Veera Pandian has described Alluri Seetharama Raju as a great patriot and a revolutionary freedom fighter, who believed in armed revolution for overthrowing the British regime.

Participating in the birth anniversary celebrations of Seetharama Raju here on Wednesday, Pandian stated that Alluri joined the freedom struggle at the age of 27 and started fighting for the tribal causes and solidly stood them. 

Seetharama Raju  instilled courage and hope in them and build freedom struggle through an armed revolution.  He geared up the tribals for an armed struggle. 

He occupied a major space in the history of Indian Independence and was remembered by one and all as a great Indian soldier, who gave his life for the country. DRO Raghunath was also present.
