Awareness camp for Mechanical Engineers Students held in Ongole

Ongole: The PACE Institute of Technology and Sciences organised a one-day awareness camp on ‘Career path for Mechanical Engineers with IOT’ for the third and final year students from mechanical engineering branch on Thursday.

The operations executive at Wipro Chennai, Veladi Yaswanth Sai participated in the awareness programme as the resource person. He explained the scope of the mechanical engineering in the domestic and foreign land and its advantages for the students. 

He explained the difference between the core and noncore jobs and said that though the starting salary of noncore jobs was low, it would provide higher salary and position in a very less time compared with others. He explained about the various fields of work available to the core students and how to select one of them based on their interest.

Yaswanth Sai explained that about 2.5 lakhs engineers were being passed out every year and giving tough competition. To win over them, he suggested the students to learn technologies like Internet of Things, IOT. He explained the concept of IOT, its features and importance. 

He suggested the students to participate in internship programmes, visit industries and discuss with experienced engineers to design their career.

The college secretary and correspondent, Maddisetty Sridhar,  college principal M Srinivasan, director of planning and development Dr Sukumar Puhan, HoD of mechanical engineering department Ajay Kumar, career guidance coordinator Sravanti and other staff and students also participated in the programme.
