Agitating Youth Congress leaders arrested in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: The city police arrested Youth Congress leaders and members who took out a rally from Andhra Ratna Bhavan here on Friday, in protest against injustice done to the State by the BJP led NDA government. 

They also protested for not according Special Category Status to the state and not fulfilling bifurcation promises.

Earlier, Youth Congress national vice-president PV Srinivas alleged that the NDA government had betrayed five crore Telugu people by not fulfilling the promises made at the time of bifurcation. 

He said that SCS was the right of Andhra people. He expressed his ire on Subramanya Swamy for his improper comments on AICC president Rahul Gandhi. 

He demanded that Swamy unconditionally withdraw his comments made on Rahul Gandhi, failing which the Youth Congress leaders would not allow him to move freely.
