GITAM alumni recall pleasant memories

Visakhapatnam: GITAM University campus reverberated with cheer, laughter and festive activities when alumni o f1989-93 batch gathered to celebrate reunion and recall the pleasant memories with the faculty here on Saturday. 

Addressing the alumni, GITAM Vice-Chancellor Prof MS Prasada Rao said that alumni are proud ambassadors of university. 

He briefed about the growth of GITAM and suggested that the alumni must guide the present student community on various opportunities in engineering.

Not just to share the nostalgic moments but to show their gratitude to the institution, which helped them to build their careers. 

“We expect this initiative would bring frontline companies to the campus and help students get placements,” G Ashok and Y Ramakrishna, coordinators of the alumni, added.

Some of the students came to the reunion all the way from the US, Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. 

GITAM Institute of Technology Principal K Lakshmiprasad said that the institute is ready to receive suggestions and open to organise guest lecturers of alumni.
