Four sanitation workers suspended in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sumit Kumar Gandhi suspended four sanitation workers for negligence of duty here on Monday.

He said stern action will be taken against the sanitation workers, who show negligence in duty. Accompanied by 32nd division corporator Dwara Parvathi Sundari, the civic chief inspected Jampeta market, Azad Chowk, Alluri Sitaramaraju junction, Ganesh Chowk, Asapuvari street, Kondapallivari street and other areas.

Later, the Commissioner said the corporation was giving top priority for sanitation in the city. Action would be taken against respective officers and staff, if any lapses were found in their duties, he warned.

He directed superintending engineer Om Prakash to develop greenery along central divider in Jampeta and also develop Alluri Sitaramaraju centre as a Diamond Park. 

The Commissioner asked city planner Ram Prasad to arrange parking place at Jampeta market to avoid traffic problem in that area and directed him to remove mobile cart vendors on the footpaths immediately.

Meanwhile, corporator Dwara Parvathi Sundari briefed about the sanitation condition in the division. Superintending engineer Om Prakash, health officer Dr MVR Murthi, city planner Vara Prasad and other officials accompanied him.
