ONGC organises Swachh Walkathon in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Rajahmundry Asset has organised a  5-km Swachh Walkathon from city dispensary to the base complex here on Monday. A large number of ONGC employees, KV school children and SPF personnel participated sporting the message of Swachhta on white T-shirts.

Participating in the walkathon, ONGC Rajahmundry Asset executive director DMR Sekhar said that the asset had undertaken Rs 3.5 crore worth of projects for Swachh Pakhwada in its operational areas of Antervedikara, Kesavadasupalem, Kesanapalli, Antervedi and Biyayaputippa. Five stage purifying water ATMs and five Namma toilets were given. Meanwhile, Rs 80 lakh financial assistance was given to Rajamahendravaram towards dustbins, compost machine and Namma toilets for ghat areas.

Moreover, six government hospitals were adopted and on priority emergency equipment will be funded for the hospitals, he added. For Safai Sathis or hygiene soldiers, the asset will conduct multi specialty medical camps. In Narsapur, the medical camp was held and 200 hygiene soldiers and their families participated. ONGC officers Mahila Samithi president Durga Bhavani and officials also present.
