Tirupati police bust job-cheating gang

Tirupati: Tirupati Urban district crime police have busted a cheating gang and nabbed the main accused K Ramana Reddy here on Monday. A case was booked against accused Ramana Reddy, a native of Kurnool district, under section 420, CCS Cr No 65/2018. He, along with other member Gouse Basha,  has been cheating the unemployed by promising them jobs in various departments.  

On a tip off, CCS CI D Ramesh Babu arrested the accused K Ramana Reddy on Monday morning. According to crime DSP Ravi Sankar Reddy,  the accused K Ramana Reddy, along with Gouse  Basha, collected money from innocent unemployed youth.

They started a private human resource agency office and contacted jobless youth -   Mohan, Jagadish Reddy, Nagaraju, Harishki and a few more people. They had collected Rs 5.60 lakhs  in the name of providing jobs in Airforce, Forest departments and ICICI Bank. After collecting money they closed down their office and fled.

The victims brought the issue to the notice of Tirupati Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty. On the instructions of the SP, Tirupati Crime Police started investigation and arrested K Ramana Reddy. Another accused Gouse Basha is at large.
