UHC contract staff stage dharna in Kakinada

Kakinada: The staff of Urban Health Centres (Mukhyamantri Health Centres) in East Godavari, affiliated to CITU, staged a dharna at DMHO office here on Monday, demanding that the government extend PRC and other benefits.

They raised slogans demanding raise in casual leaves from the present 12 to 35 and working hours from 9 am to 4 pm. They also demanded maternity leaves for women with salaries for the entire leave period. They also wanted regularisation of services, supply of uniforms and job chart guidelines.  

The UHC staff also sought implementation of PRC with immediate effect. Later, representations were submitted to District Collector, DMHO and district immigration officer.
