APNGOs women units for Prakasam, Ongole elected
Ongole: The election for women units of Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association Prakasam district and Ongole town was held at NGO Bhavan here on Tuesday.
For the district unit, B Padma Kumari from education department was elected as the president while T Tirumala Devi from commercial taxes department was elected as co-president, M Sujatha from cooperative department, K Suneetha from RIMS Hospital, G Swarupa Rani from Zilla Parishad were elected as vice-presidents, YV Seshamma from irrigation department was elected as secretary and K Lakshmi Rajyam from agriculture department was elected as the treasurer.
G Karuna, V Siva Parvati, K Rajeswari, S K Sushma, K Sridevi, P Kalyana Gouri, K Aruna, K Padmaja, M Sobharani, M Yasoda, M Gurudevi, SK Sobharani from various departments were elected as other office-bearers for the district unit.
S Jyothi from RIMS Hospital, R Lakshmi from medical and health department, Ch Sireesha from Gundlakamma Project and V Tulasi from the irrigation department were elected as the president, co-president, secretary and treasurer of the Ongole town unit.
M Gautami, B Lavanya Jyothi, A Sailaja, Ch Sai Lakshmi, V Siva Leela, G Purnima, J Vijayalakshmi, G Anuradha, OV Chaitanya, J Sridevi, S Ajamunnisa Bhanu, B Geetha, P Mariyamma, K Padmaja were elected as other office bearers for the town unit.
The Prakasam district APNGOs Association president, Bandi Srinivasa Rao and secretary K Sarath Babu congratulated the women members and said women were no less than men in performing an assigned duty.
They said that the women wing would work to find solution to issues related to women and see the women employees perform their duties peacefully.
