CII pats govt for topping Ease of Doing Business rankings

Visakhapatnam: RVS Rudraraju, Chairman, CII Andhra Pradesh, congratulated the state government for topping second consecutive year in Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) among all states and UTs in the country with an impressive score of 98.42 per cent in the latest rankings.

Reacting to the ranking prepared by the World Bank and the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), Rudraraju said that government proactive approach to sanction clearances to industry through single window were well appreciated by industry. 

The ranking reflects the state government’s performance in the improvement of delivery of various government regulatory functions and services in an efficient, effective and transparent manner, he added. The reform plan has expanded from 285 to 372 action points till 2017.

Rudraraju also said that the improvement in Ease of Doing Business would improve competitiveness of industry in the state and mentioned that the successful implementation of real time governance is a best example for other states to follow.
