Magician Stick Manohar enters Limca Book of Records

Rajamahendravaram: Noted magician Dr S Manohar Rao (Stick Manohar) has entered into Limca Book of Records and he received the respective certificate from Vice-President of India Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu in a meeting held in Vijayawada on July 9.

The Limca Book of Records gave this honour to Rao, in recognition of his Largest Magic Lesson conducted in Hyderabad with 1,500 students during the year 2016, in which he taught four varieties of magic tricks to all the students in 43 minutes.

At present he is working as deputy superintendent of police (railway) in Rajamahendravaram. He is mesmerising the audience through his magic shows for three decades along with discharging duties and getting laurels.

He is the first magician who obtained PhD in the field of magic from Acharya Nagarjuna University.

His name also entered in Guinness World Records, Everest World Records, Miracles World Records, Telugu Book of Records, Book of State Records, Wonder Book of Records, India Book of Records, High Range Book of Records, Creative Records, Marvelous World Records and Golden Book of Records.

Dr Rao also won Ugadi Puraskar 2011, Mayajala Mahendra, Millennium Star, King of Magician, Super Magician, Rashtra Vikasa Siromani, Indrajala Vibhushan,  Magician 2009, Vissta Indrajalikudi, Kala Vibhushan Award, IMA Life Time Achievement Award-2018, Jadu Ratna etc from many reputed organisations

including state and Central governments. The state government honoured him with Kala Ratna (Hamsa) award in recognition to his service in the field of magic.

Dr Manohar said that his superior officers were extending their cooperation to continue in magic field and encouraging to organise magic shows.
