Gadkari hints at taking up massive road works
Visakhapatnam: The Builders Association of India, Visakhapatnam chapter, will host All India members of Builders’ Association of India (BAI) meeting which is scheduled for August 3 and 4.
The General Council and Managing Committee of the association consisting of 500 members across the country are meeting in the Port City to discuss various issues related to the construction industry and other related activities.
On the occasion, an expo was organised in the city on Thursday to showcase the latest technologies, machineries and materials related to the construction industry. The expo is open for people, industries and educational institutions.
As a part of the All India members meeting next month and exhibition which is being held in the city, the representatives of BAI, Visakhapatnam chapter, Dr S Viyaya Kumar, Dr K Kumar Raja and A Kasivisweswara Rao met Union Minister for Surface Transport and Ports Nitin Gadkari and invited him for the inauguration of ‘All India Builders Meet’ as the chief guest.
Responding to the invitation, Nitin Gadkari positively responded and assured to attend the meeting. On the occasion, the minister advised the BAI members to be ready for taking up massive road works as the Central government is concentrating to develop the road network very soon.
