Gora Science Centre bags Environment award

Vijayawada: Minister for Environment Sidda Raghava Rao presented the Environment award to the Gora Science Centre for creating awareness among the students, youth and women through various programmes regarding environment.

The minister presented the award to Niyanta Gora, director of the Science Centre, at a workshop held on ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ in connection with the World Environment Day on Wednesday at Kshetraiah Kalakshetram.

Vivek Yadav, member secretary of the State Pollution Control Board, BSS Prasad, chairman, Dr S Radhakrishna Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Krishna University, Dr Madhusudana Rao, Joint Chief Engineer of the State Pollution Control Board, were also present.
