Heavy rains lash Pithapuram

Pithapuram:  Heavy rains lashed the town during the past 48 hours leading to knee-deep water flowing on streets at some places. 

Places like Bangaramma Center, Ravichettu Center and Chruch Center of the town are flooded with rain water. 

Major drains overflowed the banks. Vehicle riders faced difficulties in manoeuvring their vehicles through the flooded streets. 

Students and teachers encountered difficulties in attending schools, colleges and offices. 

Rains accompanied by strong gales caused inconvenience to people.

Several localities in the towns like Radhalapeta, Indiranagar, Jaggaiah Cheruvu Colony and Kattulagudem became water-logged on account of the rains. 

Meanwhile, the civic officials pressed into service proclainers to remove obstructions in the drains.
